Montero's research revolves around how societies interpret iconography and symbology from the study of different disciplines: such as performance, painting, stencil and graphic techniques to result in the work of art object. Through the performative experience of embodying a milestone and confronting it with society, from the action of a human statue, he was able to perceive in his own flesh and isolate the perception of the individual and concentrate on studying the society that reacts to its environment.

 

These investigations have helped the artist to explore the importance of the milestone as an entity that triggers memories and anecdotes, which testify to a lived time. And that just visualizing it releases subjective emotions according to the perception and experiences of the viewer.
